Belhor/Demo 2009/CD Review

Belhor are a band from Colorado that plays a very dark form of black metal that also has a death metal edge to it and this is a review of their 2009 Demo.

Drums are mostly slow, mid paced to fast drumming with some blast beats, while the bass playing has a very dark tone and seems to follow the riffing that is coming out of the guitars, as for the keyboards when they are used, they are only there to enhance darkness.

Rhythm guitars are mostly slow, mid paced to fast black metal riffs that also have a good amount of death metal influences to them, and there are little to no guitar solos or leads present on this recording.

Vocals are mostly black metal screams with some death metal growls being thrown in at times, while the lyrics cover dark themes, as for the production it has a very dark and raw feel to it.

In my opinion Belhor are a good black metal with a death metal edge and if you are a fan of this style, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED.
